Black Smokey Eyes Makeup Tutorial

I just love this look - Black Smokey Eyes makeup. It is very easy and simple. You can do this with whatever black eyeshadow you have.

In this tutorial, I am using Givenchy Travel Makeup kit.

Foundation Routine

Loreal True Match Foundation

Body Shop Primer

As always, prime the face first before applying foundation.

Recently, I am starting to apply corrector before putting the concealer. I find it very effective in hiding my dark under eye circles.

Next, apply concealer.

Set face with powder after 3-5mins to avoid cakey effect.

I'm using this black eyeshadow with just a bit of shimmer.
What I did was I damp the eyeshadow brush with lotion or you can also do with water but I like the consistency of the lotion.

To prevent the black eyeshadow to fall on my under eyes, I used tissue and put it below my lower lash lines.

Using a blending brush, blend the edges.

Using eye defining brush, highlight the brow bone.

To clean under eyes for any eyeshadow fall out you can use foundation brush or fan brush.

Now, let's do the eyebrows. I was using Silky Girl 2-in-1 eyeliner pencil.

Then soften it with a brow wand.

I added shimmery eyeshadow from Maybelline Hyper Diamonds on the inner V of my eyes and extending it towards the middle of lower lash lines.

Apply liquid eyeliner. I am using Revlon colorstay liquid eye pen. If you are a beginner or if you don't like liquid eyeliner then liquid pen is the way to go. It's easier to apply than regular liquid eyeliner.

Using the eyeshadow brush, glide the remaining black eyeshadow in the lower lash lines. I didn't put a lot because I have dark under eye circles so I was a bit cautious.

Apply Mascara. I was using Maybelline Falsies Mascara.

When applying mascara, start from the bottom lashes and wiggle the wand in an upward motion. Apply 2-3 coats.

To complete the look, add false lashes. This is from Maybelline natural lashes.

Line the band of false lashes to blend it with the eye makeup.

Apply blush on. I was using Fashion 21 Duo Blush on.

I used the pink shade.

Apply lip liner all over the lips. This just add another layer before the lipstick to make it last a bit longer.

I choose this pink nude shade from the travel kit.

Highlight cheekbones, middle of nose, cupid's bow and chin. This will add glow to the face. I was using The Body Shop Highlighter.

One last thing, set the face with powder.
