I have brown eyes and purple makeup really brings out the beauty of my eyes. I think purple makeup looks good on any woman.
I am using my NYX smokey look collection pallette. I will be sharing a lot of NYX makeup tutorial with you in the near future. I am banning myself from purchasing another eye shadow pallette. I wanted to explore more and make the most out of this NYX Smokey Look Collection Pallette.
I believe it has a lot to offer and mind you I realized that this NYX makeup pallette has almost all shades alike as those with Urban Decay Naked 2 Pallette. Yes, it is. But of course, Naked pallette is more shimmery. I'll be posting another post on this matter very soon. So, don't forget to subscribe via email so you'll receive my future post update.

Okay, let's go to our Purple Makeup Look. If you are interested to watch the video instead, just hit the play button below.
First of all, I wanted to discuss with you the shape of my eyes and face. I have hooded eyes and I am Asian. I think it is a bit challenging to put makeup on Asian eyes. I also have round face. I think understanding your facial structure is important. Ever wonder following a video tutorial and in the end the makeup just doesn't look right on you. You get what I mean? Understanding your face would help where exactly you should put your makeup.
Step 1.
Foundation Routine
L'oreal True Match
The Body Shop Primer Matte
Apply primer after moisturizing face. Let it set for about 3 mins. Then, apply your favorite foundation.

Step 2.
Applying of Eye Shadow
NYX Smokey Eye Look Collection Pallette.
Using a flat brush, apply the darkest purple eyeshadow on the upper lashlines, extending towards the middle of eyelid. Blend using a blending brush.
Apply a purple eye shadow to the rest of the eyelid up to the crease. I was using the eyeshadow brush from e.l.f.
Blend the edges.
Then, using the blending brush, apply a light pink eye shadow above the crease
Using a fluffy brush, apply white or highlighter eyeshadow on the brow bone.
Using an angled brush, apply dark brown eye shadow on the brows.
Using a gel eyeliner, line upper lash lines. My eyes look better with a winged eye liner so I winged it a bit.
Apply concealer to hide dark circles and blemishes.
I do not kow the name of this concealer. |
Set with powder.
Curl lashes.
Apply mascara on the upper lashes. Starting from the bottom and wiggle in an upward motion. I always look down when I do this.
Using the purple eye shadow, I lightly extend it at the lower lashes to have a more defined eyes. Then, continue applying mascara in the lower lashes.
Using a pink blush and fan brush, apply blush on the cheeks extending it towards the tip of ear area.
The Body Shop Cheek Colour |
I used NYX Bronzing powder to define the whole face. I have brown skin so I am very cautious in applying contour powder as it may just make my face look a bit dark. I am using fan brush and build up the powder as I go.
E.L.F Contouring Blush and Bronzing Powder |
Apply contour powder on forehead, sides of face, below cheeks and sides of nose.
For the lips, I applied MaxFactor Lip Balm.
Then, I choose this pale pink lipstick so my lips won't compete with my eyes.
Set whole face with powder.
Ever Bilena Make-up Cake #553 |
To open up my eyes a little bit more, I added this shimmery purple eyeshadow at the inner corners of my eyes extending it to the middle lower lash lines.
Nichido Stardust EyeShadow Kiss Of Pink |
I added natural false lashes to complete the look.
Thank you so much pretties for being with me today. If you like this look give me a thumbs up below.
